The Koori were the indigenous people of Australia , an amalgam of a wide range of different peoples and sub-cultures. The Koori dominated their continent for millennia.
Every band of Koori was unique, with differing philosophies, cultures and practices that made each group unique – sometimes all the way down to the personal level . The Koori were individualists, but they all had one thing in common - a belief in the Dreamtime, an altered state of consciousness where they had access to their entire ancestry , all the way back to the original creation of the world.
Only a concerted campaign of extermination, eradication and brainwashing carried out by corrupted European invaders over the 18th and 19th centuries could bring the Koori down. Today, their descendants are slowly uncovering more and more of their ancestor’s lost history. But even in the face of this devastation, a handful of Koori kept their Line’s Truth alive, allowing it to wait in dormancy for a new chance to flower.
The Koori teach us the power of resilience, and the immense change a single individual can have on the world if they follow their Truth.
